Peak Performance Buoyancy
Excellent buoyancy control is what defines skilled divers. You've seen them underwater -they glide effortlessly, consume less air, and rise and fall or float like a thought. They more easily observe aquatic life without disturbing their environment. You too can achieve this. The Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course takes the buoyancy techniques you learned as a beginning diver to the next level.
Open Water Divers or above, who are at least 10 years old, can take the Peak Performance Buoyancy course.
In this course you will:
- Improve your buoyancy control
 - Dive with less ballast
 - Reduce your air consumption
 - Reach neutral buoyancy
 - Effortlessly float in a static position
 - Use the correct amount of ballast
 
Diving and Neutral Buoyancy
The control is essential to becoming a safe and relaxed diver. Being perfectly balanced allows you to float effortlessly, use air more efficiently, and steathly zoom in on shy marine life for a closer look.
Determine the weight you need and where to place the stability weight to achieve a more streamlined body position. During two dives you will refine your weighting with buoyancy tests and you will master neutral buoyancy with practices in the water.
Prerequisites: Open Water Diver (or entry-level qualifying certification)
